API availability and roadmap for Custom Categories (URL Lists)

Question

Hello Cato Community,

The CMA supports URL lists under Resources → Categories → Custom Categories, but I could not find public GraphQL APIs to list, create, update or delete them. The API appears to support only referencing an existing Custom Category by ID or name.

Custom Applications already have CRUD API support. Is similar support planned for Custom Categories? If so, is there an estimated release date? Also, what is the recommended API-based workaround in the meantime?

Our use case is automated migration of URL/FQDN lists from other security vendors into Cato.

you can use the API to populate “containers” which can be used in policy. Containers can be of type IP or FQDN. We have done this for automated IOC ingestion. At this time Containers don’t support URLs
