Website Access Control on CATO

Hi All

I am trying to apply Website access control on specisic sites

like blocking social media/gamin exit. is this possible in a CATO socket?

  • Hey KCA,

    Thanks for the question.

Yes, this is possible to do with Cato, not via the socket, but in fact, via our PoP infrastructure.

I'll add here this KB for your review:

    https://support.catonetworks.com/hc/en-us/articles/12545093882909-Understanding-Packet-Flow-with-Cato-SPACE-Architecture

What you need to leverage is the Cato firewall and the Security configuration in your respective CMA account.

In particular, if this is interne-bound traffic, is the internet firewall.

Please see the KBs here to assist you:

    Here explains what it is:

    https://support.catonetworks.com/hc/en-us/articles/4413273486865-What-is-the-Cato-Internet-Firewall

    How to manage firewall policies:

Now depending how you want to specifically configure this depends on your use case, for example you can define by specific applications or you can filter vias FQDN, domains for the website access.
